Building for a New Era

Why are we planning major new buildings at LMH? An LMH education is a precious opportunity and a great prize.  It opens up extraordinary possibilities of intellectual and personal development.  At a time when higher education has expanded on a massive scale, LMH still concentrates on each individual student in a genuine learning community.

We do not want the College to be bigger in numbers than it is now (about 400 undergraduates and 180 postgraduate students).  This is big enough for intellectual and cultural diversity, but small enough for real communication.  Our ambition is to accommodate all undergraduates and most postgraduates on site, and to provide superb educational facilities.

It is possible for us to do this.  We have the land, without even impinging on our wonderful gardens.  We have a great opportunity to develop and integrate the site in an exciting £15 million project that will complete and enhance the work of earlier generations at LMH.  I hope you will enjoy finding out more about our plans.
